Glenshae is a small kennel situated in rural Ararimu south of Auckland.

My love of Goldens began in 1982 when my husband and I bought our first puppy. Whilst she was  primarily our pet we enjoyed doing some obedience with her and she loved nothing more than sailing around the Auckland harbour with my husband on his windsurfer.

I have now been breeding and showing my goldens for 25 years and have always enjoyed being actively involved with the Golden Retriever Club.  Our breeding dogs are all hip and elbow x-rayed and scored, eye tested, heart tested and DNA tested with only those with acceptable scores being used for breeding. My aim is to breed healthy puppies with a typical kind Golden Retriever temperament.

My Goldens are a big part of my family and live in my home along with our Birman cat Willow. They love travelling around the countryside to dog shows and visiting family on the Coromandel where they enjoy long beach walks and swimming in the sea.

STOP PRESS: 4-9-2022 I’m very proud of my gorgeous Ella, in her first show following her litter of puppies plus covid preventing all shows for the last year winning a super Best of Breed from a large entry of Goldens at the Huntly & Districts Kennel Assn.  She then went on the win Best NZ Bred Gundog. Her 6 month old daughter Lillian then thrilled us by winning  Reserve of Breed to her mother.
